WICHITA, Kan–Credit Union of America (CUA) has partnered with Currency Marketing to bring free financial literacy resources called “It’s a MONEY THING” to local teachers and families.
It’s a Money Thing is a collection of online resources targeting middle school students, high school students and college-age young adults. The information is also fun for adults that want to brush up on their financial savviness, the credit union said.
Materials for each of the 37 financial topics in It’s a MONEY THING include a handout, screen presentation, infographic, and a cartoon video featuring an older teen character named Jen. The videos are relevant to today’s young people and just two-to-four minutes in length.
“We’re excited to provide age- appropriate financial information that will prepare our youth for life’s financial challenges,” said CUA’s Vice President of Marketing, Kym Money. “It’s particularly rewarding to provide our local teachers with free and accessible resources for non-traditional subjects, such as financial literacy.”
