GLENDALE, Ariz. – Credit Union West is collecting food and supplies to benefit Home ‘Fur’ Good Animal Rescue and Placement during June.
The rescue’s mission is to eliminate the euthanasia of adoptable homeless cats and dogs in Maricopa County. It provides medical care, adoption placement, and outreach education for pet owners as well as promote spay/neuter procedures.
“We’re dedicated to making a difference in our communities; supporting local charities is a part of who we are.” said CU Wesdt VP/Chief Information Officer Scott Grundy.
Separately, Credit Union West awarded three high school seniors a $1,000 scholarship each for higher education. The winners of the credit union’s second annual awards are Jenna Chaffeur from Prescott High School, Michael Gilboy from Mingus Union High School, and Kaylynn Vavrick from Greenway High School.
“We are very proud of their accomplishments and desire to further their education,” said Bob MacGregor, president/CEO. “Investing in education is an important part of our mission and we aim to recognize those who work hard and are dedicated to investing in themselves.”
