HOUSTON—Four Cypress-Fairbanks ISD teachers have been awarded hundreds of dollars to enhance their classrooms for local students as part of Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union’s Extreme Classroom Makeover competition. The credit union, which was founded by 10 local educators and has historic ties to the school district, awarded $500 each to winning elementary, middle school and high school teachers to reimagine their classrooms in creative ways that maximize learning and student engagement. Another $300 runner-up prize was also awarded.
According to Cy-Fair FCU President and CEO Cameron Dickey, the credit union’s annual Extreme Classroom Makeover competition is an opportunity to encourage and empower local teachers who often invest their own personal resources to give students the very best learning experience possible.
“Cypress-Fairbanks ISD has some of the best teachers in the country. Our Extreme Classroom Makeover competition is one way we show our appreciation and support for their dedication to the important work of educating our community’s next generation,” said Dickey.
