Del Norte LOV Founation Awards Grants

SANTE FE, N.M.–The Del Norte LOV (Living Our Vision) Foundation of Del Norte Credit Union has announced the five nonprofit organization recipients of its 2022 Spring Cycle Community Grant-Making Program.

ach nonprofit organization grantee will receive $2,500 in charitable funds. 

The Del Norte LOV Foundation, with the help of the DNCU Employee Foundation Committee, reviewed a variety of applications that were submitted during the spring cycle’s request for proposal period. The committee identified organizations that are committed to improving the lives of youth and families in New Mexico in the program impact areas of at-risk youth, arts & culture, community enrichment, and education & S.T.E.M. 

The winners include:

  • At-Risk Youth Grant Award Recipient: IMPACT Personal Safety to support their Project PREPARE: Keeping our Youth Safe Program 
  • At-Risk Youth Grant Award Recipient: Abrazos Family Support Services to support their Improving the Lives of At-risk Children with Developmental Disabilities Program 
  • Community Enrichment Grant Award Recipient: Many Mothers to support their Emergency Flex-Funds for Struggling Families Program 
  • Education & STEM Grant Award Recipient: Make Santa Fe to support their DigiBuild Youth Lab Program 
  • Arts & Culture Grant Award Recipient: Rio Rancho Creative Crossroads to support their Bringing the Arts to Rio Rancho Program 

"In staying true to the fact that we are an employee-run foundation associated with Del Norte Credit Union, the Del Norte LOV Foundation's Employee Foundation Committee reviewed 42 grant applications during this cycle,” said Connie Tooker Nuñez, Del Norte LOV foundation director.  “It was a competitive and difficult process to select five nonprofits programs that stood out with most impact and alignment with our mission to improve lives of youth and families in New Mexico. We are proud to support and advance these important programs."  

Funding for the 2022 Del Norte LOV Foundation Community Grant-Making program is a combination of DNCU and community donations alongside Teen Day Tuesday funds, the DNCU employee payroll deduction giving initiative.
