Del Norte Shows Community Some LOV

SANTA FE, N.M.– – The Del Norte LOV (Living Our Vision) Foundation has announced the five nonprofit organization recipients of its 2022 Fall Cycle Del Norte LOV Foundation Community Grant-Making Program. Each nonprofit organization grantee will receive $2,500 in charitable funds for their programming. 

The Del Norte LOV Foundation, with the assistance of the DNCU Employee Foundation Committee, reviewed a number of applications submitted during the fall cycle’s request for proposal period. The committee identified organizations that are committed to improving the lives of youth and families in New Mexico in the program impact areas of at-risk youth, arts & culture, community enrichment, and education & S.T.E.M, the credit union said. 

The recipients include:

  • At-Risk Youth Award - The Food Depot to support its Diaper Depot Program
  • At-Risk Youth Award - The Sky Center/New Mexico Suicide Intervention Project to support its ongoing support for Northern New Mexico’s Postvention Team Program
  • Community Enrichment Award - INSIDE OUT to support its El Rito Community Outreach Program
  • Education & STEM Award - Las Cumbres Community Services, Inc. to support its Rio Arriba Reading Group: Enhancing Literacy Among Young Readers Program
  • Arts & Culture Award - Queen Bee Music Association to support its Music Classes for Special Needs Classrooms Program

“We are honored and humbled to provide programmatic support to these worthy nonprofits in the communities we serve that align with our mission of improving lives of youth and families in New Mexico," said Connie Tooker Nuñez, Del Norte LOV Foundation director.
