SYRACUSE, N.Y.–Empower Federal Credit Union has announced the completion of a two-phase branch renovation project located at 515 Erie Blvd West. The branch is open and ready to fully service our membership.
The building was designed by Robertson Strong Apgar Architects, and construction was completed by The Hayner - Hoyt Corporation. The branch design is reflective of Syracuse as it was in the 1800’s and Syracuse as it is today, offering a blend of old meets new. The artwork throughout the branch is reminiscent of the Historical Syracuse. Murals include the Erie Canal that used to run directly in front of the branch and the old train tracks that still to this day run directly behind the building.
The completed renovation includes: 24 offices, 10 teller windows, 6 lane drive-thru and 3 ATM lanes. In addition, the waiting area features a coffee area with tables and comfortable seating for up to 40 people. Enhanced technology includes an iPad station to better service the membership and a children’s waiting area that includes two TV’s and continuous movies for their viewing pleasure, the credit union said.
