Endurance FCU Helps Charities, Awards Scholarship

DUNCAN, Okla.–Endurance Federal Credit Union has awarded three local charities with funds that were raised at the 13th Annual Charity Golf Tournament. The tournament was held at the Territory Golf and Country and benefited Children’s Miracle Network and United Way of Stephens County.

“We are very proud to be able to give back to these local charities each year,” said Chris Bower, CEO, “These are great charities that help the people in the communities we serve. We strive to live out the credit union motto of ‘people helping people’ by giving back each year.”

Each charity received $4969.24 for their current campaigns.

Separately, Endurance FCU has awarded two local high school seniors with $1,000 scholarships.

This was the 14th year for the Devon Strickland Memorial Scholarship and the 5th for the Wynona “Nona” Driskell Scholarship.

The criteria for each scholarship are based on academics, extra-curricular activities, and an essay.

“We are excited to be able to give back to these deserving seniors,” said Bower, “and we are very proud to be involved in the schools in the communities we serve.”

Each senior was awarded at the school awards ceremony and were recognized on EFCU’s social media pages.
