DUNCAN, Okla.–Endurance Federal Credit Union participated in World Kindness Day by doing random acts of kindness in the Duncan community. Employees went out to local grocery stores and restaurants and gave 40 $50 gift cards to random strangers.
“Many of them just said, ‘Is this real?’ or ‘This is such a blessing’ when we would give them the card,” said President and CEO Chris Bower. “It’s a very humbling experience and we wanted help people have the best day ever.”
Some of the people that received the gift cards said they were going to pass it on to spread kindness one act at a time, which was Endurance FCU’s slogan for that day.
“We are glad that we were able to do this to randomly be kind to others. One act goes a long way,” said Bower.
