ERIE, Penn.–The “Frozen Assets” team from Erie FCU here plunged into a cold Lake Erie as part of a fundraiser. The credit union was participating in the Polar Plunge and “freezing for a reason” in order to raise funds for Special Olympics In all, the Erie FCU team raised some $3,000.
More than 800 people took the plunge in Lake Erie, raising more than $85,000 for the charity.
