PORTLAND, Maine–Evergreen Credit Union has received the Lender at Work for Maine Award from the Finance Authority of Maine (FAME) in the category for lenders with less than $1.5 billion in assets.
This past year, FAME partnered with Evergreen on 12 loans to Maine companies totaling approximately $7 million.
“This helped to create 34 Maine jobs and retain an additional 132 jobs,: the credit union said.
Evergreen Credit Union is the 5thlargest in the state based on asset size, serving six counties in Southern Maine. Forbes recently named the credit union to their Best-In-State Credit Unions 2022 for Maine.
