Farmers Market At TFCU Headquarters

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.--Teachers Federal Credit Union (TFCU) continues to draw dozens of small businesses and hundreds of Long Island shoppers to its second Artisanal Farmers Market. The TFCU Artisanal Farmers Market is held every Thursday, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the credit union’s headquarters located at 102 Motor Parkway in Hauppauge, until October 30.

“The TFCU Artisanal Farmers market has given us the opportunity to not only provide financial support to these small businesses, but to give them a free platform and opportunity to grow their businesses week after week,” said Robert G. Allen, president and CEO of TFCU.  “We believe the success of this effort has been largely due to the enormous participation of local growers and members of the public who truly want to buy local produce and support the Long Island small business community.”

TFCU partners with Amityville’s food business incubator, The Kitchen Co-Op, to bring locally grown produce and artisanal foods from both established farmers and up-and-coming businesses to the local community. Each Thursday, TFCU hosts more than 20 vendors offering fresh, locally grown produce, baked goods, seafood, pickles, olive oils, hummus, cheese and other assorted products.
