Filene Research Names Armaza Impact Director

MADISON, WIS.— Filene Research Institute has named Elry Armaza as its Impact Director. In this role, Armaza will engage with credit unions and lead marketplace testing of promising new programs in the financial services realm as part of Filene’s Beta (Impact) Lab.

“Elry brings real-life credit union experience and project management expertise that will amplify Filene’s applied research efforts,” said Mark Meyer, CEO at Filene. “His ability to identify credit union pain points and ignite excitement around innovative solutions will empower credit unions as they continue to transform consumer finance.”

Filene’s Impact programs are rooted in research, based on real consumer need and tested in the market. Armaza’s charge will include Larky and Digital Strategies, programs available to credit unions, CUSOs and state leagues.

Armaza has more than 12 years of management experience in the financial services industry including with a regional bank, a large credit union and a check cashing operation. Armaza earned an Industrial Engineering degree from the Universidad Catolica Bolivana and is currently pursuing an MBA in Project Management at the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater.
