BURNSVILLE, Minn.–Firefly Credit Union partnered with Memorial Blood Centers (MBC) to host a blood drive.
According to the MBC, 38% of the U.S. population is eligible to give blood, yet only 7% do.
A typical blood donation takes only 10 minutes and within a matter of days it will have helped save lives in the community, the credit union said.
In its fall blood drive, Firefly employees helped collect 18 whole blood cell units, which will have the potential to save up to 50 lives in the community.
