BURNSVILLE, Minn.–Firefly Credit Union said it is dedicated to giving back to its community and members. Every year, Firefly employees participate in a variety of activities and 2018 has proven to be their most generous year yet.
The credit union partners with specific organizations throughout the year including Memorial Blood Centers, American Cancer Society, Gillette Children’s Hospital, Firefly Sisterhood and more.
Among the charitable events with which the credit union was involved in 2018:
- Quarterly Blood Drives
- Chain of Hearts
- Miracle Jeans Day
- Meals on Wheels
- School Supply Drive
- Volunteer Fair
- Bake Sale
- Chili Cook-Off
- Ping-Pong Tournament
- Silent Auction
These events, and many more, helped Firefly Credit Union contribute 70 units of blood, 6,500 school supplies and over $11,000 to local organizations in 2018.
“I am amazed by the generosity of our employees and feel very proud as I look back on the past year’s efforts,” said Firefly Credit Union President/CEO Dale Turner. “We will continue to find more ways to give back to our members and our community and I look forward to seeing what we can accomplish in 2019!”
