BURNSVILLE, Minn.–Firefly Credit Union has been honored with the first place Kentico Site of the Year Award for Best Financial Services Site in 2016. As an all-in-one website platform, Kentico works with hundreds of businesses and institutions around the world helping to develop great user experiences through easy to manage website content.
The annual Site of the Year contest seeks out the best use of Kentico’s tools and implementations and chooses the top three from each category to be put to the public vote. With the help of their creative partner, ZAG Interactive, Firefly was able to clinch the win among their competition.
Launched in March of 2016, Firefly said it knew it was important to demonstrate a strong online impression to match its newly rebranded image. With a winning description of “a fresh, responsive design, enhanced functionality, and the marketing power to meet all its goals,” Firefly said it is proud of the exceptional user experience the site provides and the recognition received.
“Our website needed to act as a guiding resource for its visitors. It needed to be fully responsive, easily navigable, aesthetically pleasing, and offer a number of thoughtful resources - all without being technically overwhelming,” said Michelle Swanson, Firefly’s Digital Strategist. “We definitely think we achieved an excellent user experience while also illustrating the Firefly brand – that was the goal, the award is the cherry on top!”
In addition to an easily navigable structure, Firefly said its website embraces many financial resources including interactive calculators and a free financial education tool where members and non-members can dive deeper into a variety of financial topics.
