GLENCOE, Md.–First Financial Credit Union has donated $35,000 to new partners and a local organization within the Eastern Shore community.
To support new partners Somerset County Public Schools (SCPS) and Worcester County Public Schools (WCPS), FFFCU presented a $10,000 check to SCPS and a $20,000 check to WCPS for the Student Services Fund in each school system. The focus of the Student Services Department is to remove barriers to student learning and achievement, as well as to maintain a safe and nurturing environment for the students.
In support of the local community, FFFCU also recently donated $5,000 to The Samaritan Shelter in Pocomoke City, Md. Founded in 1986, The Samaritan Shelter is an organization that provides shelter for the homeless, hot nutritional lunches to those in need, and a food bank. Thousands of families have benefited from the care & resources that the Samaritan Shelter provides to those in need.
