For 10th Year in a Row, Genisys Named a top 100 Workplace

AUBURN HILLS, Mich.–For the 16th year, Genisys Credit Union has been named a Top 100 Workplace by the Detroit Free Press. This award recognizes companies that create a people-centered culture and uplift employee voices.

“It is an honor to receive this recognition from the Detroit Free Press. This accolade is driven by the voices of our employees, who work together to shape a collaborative culture that supports one another, our members, and our communities,” said President and CEOJackie Buchanan. “My heartfelt thank you to our team; this recognition is a testament to all of you.”

The Detroit Free Press partnered with Energage, an employee research and consulting firm, to identify honorees based on employee opinion surveys. The survey asks employees to critique their workplace on topics related to employee engagement, culture, and benefits. Employers are ranked among groups of similar size.

“To cultivate their workforce, the credit union said it ensures the well-being of their employees by offering professional development opportunities, recognition programs, flexible work arrangements, 401k matching, low cost health care plans, mental health services, and more. Their team extends the same compassion into the member experience and community interactions, which is reflected in the credit union’s accomplishments throughout 2023,” the credit union said. “A big part of their member giveback in 2023 came in the form of a higher annual percentage yield (APY) of 5.25% for their Genius High Yield Checking. In addition, they also rewarded members with higher savings and certificate rates, earning members over $61 million in savings dividends.”
