LOWELL, Mass. – Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union has made a $1,500 donation to Friends of the Pollard Memorial Library as the second quarter winner of its Give-A-Click campaign.
The Give-A-Click program runs quarterly on the We Share a Common Thread Foundation website (WSACT.com). Community members visit the site, learn about the worthy non-profit nominees, and cast their votes for the organization they would like to support. The program with the most votes at the end of the quarter is awarded a $1,500 donation from the Foundation.
The second-quarter nominees included Home Health & Hospice Care, The Methuen Memorial Music Hall, and the Friends of the Pollard Memorial Library.
Pollard Memorial Library serves the roughly 115,000 residents of Lowell, many of whom are immigrants and English-learning populations. The Friends of the Pollard Memorial Library provides financial support for Lowell’s public library in order to fund programs and services that would otherwise fall outside of the Library’s budget. The Friends of the Pollard Memorial Library uses their funds for projects including the popular museum pass program, kits for their Drop-In Craft Nights, and other programs and services for the community.
“The Friends of the Pollard Memorial Library provide so many free programs, from book clubs to baby yoga, chats with local businesses, and their incredible bookmobile. We’re thrilled to help them further their mission,” President and CEO Mark S. Cochran said in a statement.
