OCEANSIDE, Calif.–Frontwave Credit Union has received the “Award for Workplace Excellence” by Peter Barron Stark Companies (PBS) based on the results of their 2018 employee opinion survey, while separately raising funds for charity through an ugly sweater contest.
This is the sixth time that Frontwave has won this award for Workplace Excellence. The survey, conducted at the end of 2018, measured employee engagement and job satisfaction. Frontwave’s 2018 survey had an overall satisfaction score of 89.0, a significant increase of 4.4 percentage points from the 2016 survey, and 4.1 percentage points ahead of PBS’ 2018 Best of the Best PBS Benchmark, the credit union said.
“Frontwave results were compared to those of over 300 well-known businesses throughout the United States, and the responses of more than 100,000 employees,” the credit union said. “Frontwave had a 98% response rate from its 265 employees who answered 94 survey questions covering important topics such as clarity of purpose and goals, work environment, communication, commitment to quality and service, teamwork, motivation, development, training, compensation, and more.”

Separately, Frontwave Credit Union staff raised $500 for the Twentynine Palms Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society through its annual Holiday Ugly Sweater Contest. Frontwave crew dressed up in their ugliest holiday sweaters to win votes and the grand prize of a $500 donation to a local charity.
The photos were posted on Frontwave’s Facebook and Instagram along with each group’s charity of choice. On National Ugly Sweater day, the winner was announced. Frontwave’s Twentynine Palms Branch received the most votes/likes on Facebook winning its charity, Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, $500!
“Our branch selected the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, because they are a huge supporter of our local military community here in Twentynine Palms,” saidDarlene Kercheval, Twentynine Palms Branch Manager and winner of the ugly sweater contest stated, “Our $500 donation will be split into twenty $25 commissary gift cards to provide formula, diapers, and other much needed items to help families in need during the holiday season and new year.”
