TAMPA, Fla. – GTE Financial Credit Union has named Max “Chip” Coberly as vice president of member sales, where he will oversee multiple operations, including GTE’s 22 Community Financial Centers; Credit Union Services LLC, GTE’s insurance CUSO; Investment Services; Community Partners, and its financial education efforts.
Coberly brings more than 20 years of experience in the finance industry, serving as a board member and vice president for AAA Employees Federal Credit Union in Heathrow, Fla. before serving on GTE’s supervisory committee for six years. Coberly also served two and a half years as a GTE board director, with one year on the executive committee as secretary and treasurer, before becoming vice president of GTE Insurance and Investment Services, a position he held for three years.
