TAMPA, Fla.– GTE Financial Credit Union will once again be hosting its annual Scholarship Scramble Golf Tournament to raise funds for the GTE Student Scholarship program. The tournament will take place at The Bayou Club.
"We are grateful to host our 11th annual scramble, continuing our support for GTE Financial's top fundraiser, the Student Scholarship program," said Steven Robinson, VP-assurance and consulting services and chief audit officer at GTE Financial. "The tournament is a fun and exciting event that brings everyone together to raise funds for local students who excel in academics as well as community involvement.”
The credit union reported that Robinson and his team have led the Scholarship Scramble since its inception, and it has now become the primary fundraiser for the Student Scholarship program. Every year, the program awards scholarships to several students who dedicate their time to academic pursuits and community involvement.
"In the last ten years, GTE Financial has awarded over $985,000 in scholarships to local students. This year we will hit $1 million in scholarship funds, a milestone worthy of celebration and a testament to our commitment in investing in local students," says Jennifer Maxfield, SVP-chief marketing and impact officer.
