Gerber FCU Rewards Member, Supports Charity

FREMONT, Mich.–Gerber FCU has awarded one CU for participating in a survey, while separately raising funds for a local charity.

At right, John Buckley, president /CEO of Gerber Federal Credit Union (Gerber FCU) awarded credit union member William Wolff  with a $500 Visa Gift Card. Wolff’s name was randomly drawn from members who completed a recent member satisfaction survey.

“We were pleased (but not surprised!) to learn that 93% of our members who completed the survey responded that they would refer someone to Gerber Federal Credit Union,” said Buckley.  “We celebrate all of the member feedback and remain committed to improving in the areas our members expressed that they were not extremely satisfied.”

Separately, Gerber Federal Credit Union employees raised a total of $1,818.32 for donation to the Newaygo County Compassion Home for the Terminally Ill.  Employees also gathered items needed to supply homes available to individuals in our community who are nearing the end of life.

“This organization holds a special place in the hearts of our employees,” commented Heather Wiersema, Gerber FCU Marketing Manager.  “We plan to volunteer our time when needed and to raise funds annually through a variety of fundraising activities.  We’ll host bake sales, book sales, pop can drives, squeegee events in our drive-ups, jean Fridays and more.  This is just the beginning.”
