WHITE CLOUD, Mich. –At the Newaygo County Cancer Walk here, Sue Splitstone of Gerber Federal Credit Union shared her cancer survival story.
“The first Relay for Life that I can remember that really impacted my life and my husband’s was in June 2007,” said Splitstone. “Watching my mom and older sister walking the survivors lap, Iremember saying to my husband, ‘That could be me someday’. “That following June [there I was] doing the survivor lap along with my mom and sister.
“So…let’s now walk together and celebrate, honor and remember those who have been touched by cancer,” she said.
Gerber Federal also contributed toward making Newaygo County Cancer Walk t-shirts possible.
