POST FALLS, Idaho—Gesa Credit Union has announced plans for its first full-service branch outside of Washington State.
The new branch will be located in Post Falls, Idaho at 317 S. Beck Road and is expected to open its doors to the public in late 2023.
The credit union, in collaboration with Dardan Enterprises, Inc. from Post Falls, broke ground on its new branch in May and plans for a soft opening in December. The new full-service branch will occupy 4,500 sq ft. and will be situated in a shopping center with additional lease space available.
“This expansion into Idaho marks a significant milestone for Gesa as it continues to grow its reach and provide financial services to better serve its members and a new community,” the credit union said.
“We have been serving our members and the communities we call home for 70 years and we are thrilled to bring that same level of attention and support to Post Falls,” said Don Miller, president and CEO of Gesa Credit Union. “We look forward to spending time in the community, getting to know its businesses and residents and learning where we can add the most value. We chose Post Falls by design and are excited to begin planting roots in the great state of Idaho.”
The credit union said the new Post Falls branch will serve as a hub branch for Gesa’s growing Idaho market as it joins Gesa’s Commercial Loan Center, located in Coeur D’Alene. This full-service branch will feature personal and business banking services including loans and mortgages.
In addition to the branch’s full-service offerings, it will also operate both drive-up and walk-up Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) that are accessible 24/7.
