RENO, Nev.--Great Basin Federal Credit Union's Amanda Vesely has been selected to represent Nevada to “crash” the 2025 Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC).
Organized through The Cooperative Trust and Filene Research Institute, Crash the GAC is a non-stop, career-changing program for credit union young professionals that allows them to participate in the industry’s largest advocacy conference with complimentary registration, exclusive networking opportunities, leadership development tools, and mentoring sessions with industry leaders.
Representing nearly every U.S. state, the 2025 class of crashers includes 60 emerging leaders with diverse roles at their credit unions. Crashers are selected through a highly competitive process, ultimately earning free attendance at the America’s Credit Unions GAC where they can network and learn from over 5,000 top credit union advocates and leaders. Crashers will also “hike the Hill” and engage with lawmakers and help highlight the meaningful work credit unions are doing to improve the financial well-being of members and communities.
Jennifer Denoo, Great Basin CEO, says “We are thrilled that Amanda will be attending this event with such a great group of young professionals. There is nothing else like this conference, and I have no doubt Amanda will soak it all in and come away with an invigorated passion for the work that credit unions do in our communities every day."
