BANNOCKBURN, Ill.–Employees of Great Lakes Credit Union’s Zion branch presented Carmen Patlan, Development Director for A Safe Place, with cleaning supplies for in-need families. Donated items included laundry detergent, dish soap, disinfectant wipes, and more.
Lissette Colin, GLCU’s Zion Branch Manager, was moved by the experience.
“Carmen was very appreciative. As she gave us a tour of the building she shared a few stories; it’s heartbreaking to know there are so many families going through domestic violence and not everyone gets the help they need. I’m grateful to work for a company that truly cares about giving back to the community and allows us to be a part of it. I’m so glad I had the opportunity to do this,” she said.
