Great Lakes' Latest Act of Kindness: Pizza

BANNOCKBURN, Ill.– Great Lakes Credit Union (GLCU) visited its local Pizza Mia and performed 30 random acts of kindness. Pizza Mia was celebrating their Grand Opening by offering any large one topping pizza for $5.00.  Melissa Stroud, Bolingbrook Branch Manager, bought 30 pizzas and hand delivered them to Pizza Mia customers.  During the event, Country Radio Station 98.3 WCCQ was broadcasting live and gave a shout-out to GLCU for conducting these acts of kindness.

“It was so great to see the reaction of customers when we told them Great Lakes Credit Union was paying for their pizza – they were surprised and appreciative of our gesture. It was such a delight to put smiles on their faces,” said Stroud.

All year long employees at GLCU branches will perform various random acts of kindness as a way to make a direct impact and give back to their communities.
