CARSON CITY, Nev.–Greater Nevada Credit Union has again been named a top employer and the only financial institution in the extra-large (250-plus employees) business category.
The Best Places to Work in the Greater Reno-Tahoe area is sponsored by the Northern Nevada Human Resources Association. The program measures a wide range of employee-based, research-validated workplace factors that measures employee engagement and satisfaction. A Best Places to Work award recipient fosters a workplace where employees willingly go above and beyond in their work, advocate for the organization, and intend to stay into the future.
“We focus on leading with our culture, and our employees are the key component,” said VP of People Dena Hicks. “Greater Nevada experienced a spectacular year that included a merger, a new commercial lending company, and the opening of new credit union and mortgage company branches. We will continue to be committed to our culture, our employees, and our passion To Help More People Live Greater.”
Hicks also said that greater employment benefits, such as paid time for community service, enhanced parental leave, and fostering a work environment that promotes teamwork and fun, has contributed to Greater Nevada’s ongoing success.
