AUSTIN, Texas—Greater Texas|Aggieland Credit Union has promoted Ken Gardner to vice president of human resources, where he will provide executive leadership for the credit union's enterprise-wide people strategy, with a focus on aligning workforce culture, leadership development and employee engagement with long-term business performance.
Gardner joined the credit union in 2012 as an HR assistant and has advanced through a series of leadership roles, including HR manager, Total Rewards and HRIS manager, and assistant vice president. During his tenure, he helped modernize the credit union's human resources practices, strengthened employee engagement initiatives and built its HR team.
"Throughout his tenure, Ken has steadily expanded his leadership responsibilities, business perspective, and impact across the organization," President and CEO Howard Baker said. "He genuinely cares about making our credit union a place where everyone feels valued, supported, and motivated to do their best work every day." The credit union said Gardner's promotion will support its efforts to recruit top talent, respond to changing workplace trends and develop future leaders from within the organization.
