DALLAS–Greater Texas Credit Union’s Dallas branch staff Maida Hodge and Mirian Reynaga spent part of their workday volunteering at the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) where they helped process 11,200 pounds of food which created 9,333 meals.
Greater Texas employees get two full days of paid volunteer time per year as part of the Greater Good Volunteer Program launched in 2017. Last year more than 200 hours were given and 20+ organizations were supported across Texas by credit union employees. The Dallas team volunteers at the North Texas Food Bank two-to-three times a year as part of their outreach.
“I like what this organization does for the community. When volunteering, we want to prepare as many meals as we can, and when the time ends we leave with such a feeling of achievement,” said Maida.
