Greater Texas Supports ADRN

AUSTIN, Texas – When disasters like 2020’s “Snowmageddon” happen it can cause financial hardship and stress, noted Greater Texas Credit Union.

For Joey Puckett and his daughters, the weeklong storm caused major damage to their home due to an undetected broken water pipe that caused thousands of dollars of damage.

For Christina and her family, a tornado completely destroyed their home and all of their belongings, the credit union added.

It’s events like these that make the work of the Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN) the reason Greater Texas Credit Union said it partnered with the nonprofit for Giving Tuesday with a pledge to match up to $5,000 in donations.

The virtual fundraising campaign raised more than $40,572 in 24 hours for ADRN.

“ARDN offers hope to those who are suffering, which is what people of faith are called to do,” said Howard Baker, President and CEO of Greater Texas Credit Union. “By supporting ADRN we are able to equip them with funding and resources they need to restore hope among disaster survivors
