HFS FCU Awards Scholarships

HILO, Hawaii–For the 11th year in a row, HFS Federal Credit Union has awarded scholarships, bringing its total to more than $200,000 and more than 85 recipients.

This year, HFS FCU said it received a number of applications from these outstanding students. Each of this year’s winners will receive $2,500 to help fund their 2023-2024 school year. The winners included:

  • Braysha Nobriga-Namihira (Hilo High School)
  • Kyra Valencia (Honoka’a High School)
  • Ciana-Lei Bence (Kamehameha Schools Hawai’i)
  • Savanna Colliado (Kamehameha Schools Hawai’i)
  • Tia Tanimoto (Kamehameha Schools Hawai’i)
  • Dalilah Martin (Kea’au High School)
  • Weston-Jon Camara (Kohala High School)
  • Sara Igawa (Waiakea High School)
  • Makaila-Lei Kunishige (Waiakea High School)
  • Jaden Manuel-Basilio (Waiakea High School) 
  • Tyanna Aranaydo (Hawai’i Community College)
  • Camy Aguinaldo (Pacific University)
  • Montana Lagat (Stanford University)
  • Tatum Okamoto (University of Hawai’i at Manoa) 
  • Kainalu Gomera (University of Portland)
