HILO, Hawaii–For the 11th year in a row, HFS Federal Credit Union has awarded scholarships, bringing its total to more than $200,000 and more than 85 recipients.
This year, HFS FCU said it received a number of applications from these outstanding students. Each of this year’s winners will receive $2,500 to help fund their 2023-2024 school year. The winners included:

- Kyra Valencia (Honoka’a High School)
- Ciana-Lei Bence (Kamehameha Schools Hawai’i)
- Savanna Colliado (Kamehameha Schools Hawai’i)
- Tia Tanimoto (Kamehameha Schools Hawai’i)
- Dalilah Martin (Kea’au High School)
- Weston-Jon Camara (Kohala High School)
- Sara Igawa (Waiakea High School)
- Makaila-Lei Kunishige (Waiakea High School)
- Jaden Manuel-Basilio (Waiakea High School)
- Tyanna Aranaydo (Hawai’i Community College)
- Camy Aguinaldo (Pacific University)
- Montana Lagat (Stanford University)
