ROCHESTER, N.H.–HRCU has been named one of “America’s Best Credit Unions” by Forbes.
The $420-million HRCU was ranked first in the state of New Hampshire.
Founded in 1962 by eight parishioners from Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Rochester, NH, the credit union’s mission was to assist people who had limited access to traditional financial services.
“We’re humbled and honored to receive this award among the many standout credit unions that serve New Hampshire,” said Brian Hughes, HRCU president and CEO. “Receiving this meaningful recognition is a true testament to the trust our members have in us and to the dedication and hard work of our staff, board of directors and volunteers.”
HRCU said it is a responsible, community-centric organization that takes pride in helping non-profit organizations throughout the markets they serve. Dozens of non-profits over the years have benefitted from donations and countless HRCU staff volunteer hours.
“The needs we see in our community is an opportunity for us to give back,” Hughes stated. “The credit union philosophy of People Helping People is alive and well at HRCU.”
