Hanscom FCU Honors Walsh & Marotta with Board Service Awards

HANSCOM AFB, Mass.--Hanscom Federal Credit Union recently honored its Vice Chairman of the Board Mark D. Walsh and Chairman Paul Marotta with Board Service Awards.

“Since 1978, Mark has been a leading voice on our board, helping to guide our credit union through some challenging times,” said Marotta, who noted Walsh completed 40 years of service. “Today, we’re in a strong position to deliver the products, service, and returns our member-owners have come to expect from us, largely because of Mark’s freely given expertise and dedication to the credit union cause, and for that, I’m grateful he’s chosen to serve with us all these years.”

Walsh has served on many committees, including his current role as alternate chairman of the Executive Committee, as well as the Asset Liability Management Committee. The Acton, MA, resident is a retired federal employee with 35 years of service and a veteran of the United States Army.

Hanscom also honored Marotta with a Board Service Award for his 30 years of service.

“Paul has led the credit union through some challenging times, and it’s to his credit that Hanscom Federal Credit Union is the strong, stable financial institution it is today,” said Walsh. “The service award is but a small token of our appreciation for his leadership and wise counsel we’ve come to depend upon.”
