HANSCOM AFB, Mass.–Hanscom FCU recently sponsored the final Airman Leadership School graduation of the Hanscom Air Base Wing. Eleven Airmen and one Coast Guardsman completed the five-week course designed to develop junior enlisted members into effective front line supervisors.
“We have supported the Airman Leadership School graduations for many years,” observed Paul Marotta, Hanscom FCU Chairman of the Board. “I feel that we are part of something exciting. To graduate from ALS is a great achievement in a young person’s life and military career. They will go on to lead others, and we are proud to honor these graduates.”
The ceremony honored three graduates for outstanding performance. The highest of these honors is the John L Levitow award, bestowed on the student who scored the best in objective and performance evaluations, as well as demonstrated leadership and teamwork. Petty Officer Third Class Amanda M. Dietzen, was the winner, considered to be the most distinguished graduate.
Hanscom FCU also recently announced it will sponsor graduation celebrations for all Airman Leadership School classed at Hanscom Air Force Base in 2016. The support guarantees that graduates from each class will receive recognition for their achievement in the coming year.
