HANSCOM AFB, Mass.–Hanscom Federal Credit Union collected new and unwrapped children’s toys in collection boxes set up at seven Hanscom FCU branches. The toys were donated to the United States Marine Corps’ annual Toys for Tots drive and will be delivered to local children who need some hope and joy this holiday season.
“Most of us hold happy memories of a favorite toy or gift that was given to us during the holidays when we were children,” said Hanscom FCU Chairman Paul Marotta. “Today, there are children in our community who are at risk of growing up without the fond memories we have. Our ethos of ‘People Helping People’ drives us year-round, but during this time of year, it’s even more important to act on those words, to reach out with a helping hand to our neighbors and our neighbors’ children.”
Toy collection boxes were set up at the Littleton, Bedford, MITRE Bedford, Burlington, Brockton, Devens, and Main Office (Hanscom AFB) branches.
