Heartland CU CEO Harrington Leads Class

INNER GROVE HEIGHTS, Minn. – Heartland Credit Union President Kathy Harrington taught the importance of saving and investing at Henry Sibley High School in Mendota Heights, Minn. to three classes of juniors and seniors.

In partnership with Banzai, a national financial literacy program, Harrington was asked by the Foods and Consumer Science (FACS) teacher to teach her students about saving and investing. Harrington taught three classes consisting of 30 students each.

“The students were eager to learn,” Harrington said. “We not only discussed how saving and investing early can have a huge impact on their financial success, they asked some great questions about the differences between credit unions and banks.”
