Heartland CU Donates $10,000 to TEP

MADISON, Wis.–With nearly one-in-20 students here homeless, Heartland Credit Union said it rallied its community to donate nearly $10,000 to support the Transition Education Program (TEP).

The $10,000 “Give Local” donation will help homeless students in the Madison School District, with critical resources from school supplies to transportation to activity fees.

“With support from Give Local donors, these children and their families have a better chance to achieve,” says TEP teacher Jani Koester.

Heartland CU said its matching grant encouraged a flood of community giving.

“We are always grateful for the generosity of our community,” says Sally Dischler, Heartland Credit Union president and CEO. “Together, we can have a real impact on the lives of local kids.”
