Heartland CU Offers Lessons to High Schoolers

INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, Minn.–Heartland Credit Union Director of Corporate Relations Sharon Vandehoef taught the importance of saving and investing, Credit Union 101 and Identity Theft to New Prague, Minn. high school students.

Invited by the Family and Consumer Science teacher, Vandehoef spent two days with juniors and seniors talking to them about finances.

“I was excited to visit this classroom again for a new set of students,” said Vandehoef. “It’s a great opportunity to help students understand finances, as well as answer all of their questions.”
