Heritage Trust Provides Help for Pet Cause

SUMMERVILLE, S.C.–Heritage Trust Federal Credit Union employees recently donated more than 100 items to benefit the Frances R. Willis SPCA here. The local shelter was devastated by the major flooding disaster in early October and lost most of their food and pet-care supplies. In addition to other support efforts established to help flood victims, Heritage Trust’s HT Cares community outreach committee, hosted the internal event as a way to continue to help our community.

“For many of us, pets are a treasured part of our family. This is especially true for the Lowcountry animal shelters that dedicate their time and resources to protecting these animals,” said Mary Ann Baker, Heritage Trust Community Outreach Coordinator. “During this devastating flood, the SPCA lost so much of their supplies and we knew that we needed to help in any way that we could.”

Employees donated dozens of bags of food, new beds, toys, water bowls and more to assist with the shelter’s growing need of supplies.
