YORK, Pa.-- Heritage Valley Federal Credit Union recently commemorated its 90th anniversary with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a month-long celebration honoring its legacy of support for its members and the community.
Founded on April 29, 1935, as the YORKCO York Employees Federal Credit Union, Heritage Valley began as a small financial cooperative serving employees of York Ice Machinery Corporation. Over the decades, the credit union evolved, adopting the name Heritage Valley Federal Credit Union to better represent its expanding community membership and deep roots to the Susquehanna Valley. Today, Heritage Valley serves individuals who live, work, worship, or attend school in York, Adams, Cumberland, and Dauphin counties.
"Our 90th anniversary is not merely a milestone; it is a celebration of our enduring relationship with our members and the communities we serve," stated Michael Gutshall, President & CEO of Heritage Valley FCU. "Since our inception, we have prioritized a member-centric approach and embraced the latest banking technology. Our commitment remains unwavering as we look to the future."
