Hickam FCU Begins Construction of New Headquarters

OAHU, Hawaii—Hickam FCU has started construction on its 32,000-square-foot corporate headquarters and branch project in Pearl City here.

CUToday.info previously reported that Hickam FCU purchased the 6.7-acre Central Oahu property for $14.2 million. (Hickam FCU Buys Land For Potential Future HQ) The $550-million CU is currently headquartered in Honolulu.

The building will include floor-to-ceiling windows, “green” terraces and an outdoor plaza, as well as a 2,700-square-foot retail branch and drive-through teller station. The project is scheduled to be completed by mid-2017, Pacific Business News reported.

Founded in 1936, Hickam FCU has five branches on Oahu, with 45,900 members. It is the fourth-largest, by number of members, on Oahu, following only HawaiiUSA FCU, Hawaii State FCU and Hawaiian Tel FCU.
