SPOKANE, Wash.–Isabel Mazcot, one of Horizon Credit Union’s top employee volunteers in 2018, presented a $500 donation to the Hispanic Business/Professional Association of Spokane.
The donation goes directly to the HBPA Scholarship Fund, which supports graduating high school seniors and current undergraduate students. Mazcot earned the donation by exceeding 100 hours of volunteer time in the Horizon Credit Union Go-Givers employee volunteer program in 2018.
She also serves as chair for the 2019 HBPA scholarship fundraising event, Viva Vino & Brews, and is also the incoming HPBA President for 2019-2020.
“Volunteering fulfills my heart,” said Mazcot. “My parents taught my sisters and I to give, but not to expect," said Isabel. "I believe that if you give without asking for anything back, life will bless you in so many other ways.”
Mazcot is among seven Horizon employees who have reached the 100 hour volunteer mark in the Horizon Credit Union Go-Givers employee volunteer program so far in 2018.
