DELRAY BEACH, Fla.–IBM Southeast Employees’ Credit Union has donated $10,000 to assist credit unions and victims from Hurricane Michael in the Florida Panhandle.
Following a call by the Southeastern Credit Union Foundation for donations to help the victims of Hurricane Michael, IBMSECU said it rose up and acted. The donation went to the Foundation’s Disaster Relief Fund to help their neighbors who were devastated by the historic, category 4 storm. A portion of those monies was donated by IBMSECU employees.
“Coming together to help other credit unions and their members is extremely important to us,” said Michael Miller, president and CEO at IBMSECU. “We are all about ‘People Helping People’ and our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by Hurricane Michael.”
