THE VILLAGES, Fla.– VyStar Credit Union has opened its new branch, its 66th, at 3340 Wedgewood Lane in The Villages.
VyStar officials held a ribbon cutting ceremony and golf cart decorating contest to celebrate its growth in The Villages.
VyStar noted its newest branch is its second in the community following the opening of its Villages Wildwood branch in 2019. The Villages Oxford branch further expands VyStar’s footprint in Central Florida, where the credit union has more than a dozen locations. VyStar’s 67th branch recently opened in Melbourne, and additional branches are planned to open later this year in Tallahassee and Lake Mary.
“With the opening of this branch, VyStar is proud to now have a location in the heart of The Villages,” said VyStar EVP/Chief Operations Officer Chad Meadows. “This truly exceptional community has embraced us since we opened our first branch three years ago, and we look forward to continuing to offer high-quality products and services built for the unique needs of the residents who call The Villages home.”
The Villages Oxford branch enables VyStar to better serve members, who have access to great rates, low or no fees, early direct deposit, rewards on credit cards, financial wellness education, member-centric service and more, the credit union said.
The branch features VyStar’s digital-forward design concept, which improves how employees connect with members. The concept includes interactive touchscreen kiosks that provide financial tools and allow members to quickly explore the latest products, services and rates.
“Whether a member is looking for retirement planning, financial wellness assistance or any of our other products and services, we want them to know that VyStar is here for them,” said Villages Oxford Branch Vice President April Green. “We are committed to supporting our members and helping our community thrive.”
As VyStar grows across Central Florida, it said it continues to invest in the communities it serves. In honor of its expansion in The Villages, VyStar donated $5,000 to Villages Honor Flight, an organization that honors the service and sacrifice of veterans by transporting heroes to Washington to visit and reflect at their memorials.
