Each year, Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union offers scholarships to incoming college freshmen and current college students attending an accredited two or four-year college.
Applicants for the 23rd Annual MoneyStrong College Scholarship Program were presented with the prompt: “Credit is borrowed money that you can use to purchase goods and services when you need them. Why credit is important, and how can a good credit score can help you achieve your goals.”
This year, the CU received more than 90 applications and granted 25 scholarships to students. Among the recipients, 18 are high school seniors preparing for their freshman year of college, six are current college students attending various colleges throughout the area, and the Credit Union awarded its first scholarship to an MBA student.
