LOWELL, Mass.–Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union’s Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Susan J. Hannigan, CPA, is excited to join the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Depository Institutions Expert Panel (DIEP). The DIEP brings together individuals with extensive backgrounds in the depository institution industry to discuss important issues in regard to financial and business reporting, auditing and attest matters.
“I am honored to be asked to join the AICPA DIEP,” said Ms. Hannigan. “I look forward to representing credit unions and community banks, and to bringing industry perspectives to the issues that arise,” she added.
Ms. Hannigan has served as the Credit Union’s Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since July 2014, overseeing finance and accounting, risk management, compliance and corporate security. She provides organizational leadership and direction, and formulates corporate strategies and policies. Prior to joining the Credit Union she had over thirty years’ experience at Wolf & Company, P.C., a regional public accounting firm in Boston, Massachusetts. Ms. Hannigan has served as a Transition Resource Group (TRG) member for FASB’s CECL project. She is a graduate of Stonehill College with a BS in Business Administration. She is a member of the AICPA and Massachusetts Society of CPAs. Ms. Hannigan serves as Vice President of the FMS Boston Chapter, and on the boards of the Merrimack Valley Food Bank, and the Hanover Permanent Scholarship Fund.
