LOWELL, Mass.–To express its appreciation for members, Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union’s Mortgage Team held a housewarming party at the home of new members Rachel and Joseph Salamone.
The couple opened up their new home in Bedford, Mass. to celebrate with 50 of their friends, family and co-workers, their Realtor and a few members of Jeanne D’Arc’s Mortgage Team. Sponsored by the credit union, the Cinco De Mayo themed party featured festive food and snacks from Margaritas in Lexington.
“We still cannot believe what an amazing and generous gift it was,” said Rachel Salamone. “Even our friends and family were blown away by the fact that Jeanne D’Arc sponsored our housewarming party. It was incredible.”
The couple was looking to relocate from Southern New Hampshire to be closer to work. They didn’t anticipate any issues securing a mortgage, but their primary bank required strict qualifying parameters that the Salamones could not meet, especially when they had to also sell the home they were living in at the time, the credit union said. Jeanne D’Arc approved them for a mortgage.
Separately, Jeanne D’Arc said its sponsorship of the exciting “Football for You” non-contact football clinic in Lowell was a huge success.
More than 240 youths registered for the one-day clinic, which was coached by New England Patriots Alumni players and was free of charge to local boys and girls, ages 9-14. It was at the Cushing Athletic Complex at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.“We were thrilled to team up with the New England Patriots Alumni organization for the third year in a row to offer this program to local youths,” said Mark S. Cochran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union. “It was an exciting and fun day for everyone involved.”
The non-contact clinic had a strong focus on leadership, sportsmanship, nutrition, and strength and conditioning. It included 15 minute educational sessions for parents and guardians on nutrition, strength training and sportsmanship. A nutritious lunch was served to all participants.
