LOWELL, Mass. – Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union has announced the 2018 recipients of the Steve Jones Legacy Fund: A Bed for Every Child (Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless), Greater Lowell Family YMCA, Town of Chelmsford Scholarship Committee, My Father’s House and D’Youville Life & Wellness Community.
Jeanne D’Arc established the Steve Jones Legacy Fund through its We Share A Common Thread Foundation in memory of Steve Jones, a 20-year veteran of the CU who was well-known throughout the Greater Lowell community for his tireless commitment to numerous organizations. He passed away unexpectedly in September 2016.
Representatives from each of the recipient organizations joined the Credit Union at the UMass Lowell River Hawks hockey game on Friday, October 26, 2018 to honor and remember Mr. Jones.
“Steve Jones had a genuine passion for giving back to the community,” said Mark S. Cochran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union. “The Legacy Fund allows us to continue supporting the nonprofit organizations that were dear to Steve.”
