JetStream FCU Takes 100 Kids To Marlins Game

MIAMI LAKES, Fla. – JetStream FCU sponsored  100 underprivileged youth to attend a Miami Marlins baseball game.  The Marlins hosted a SAFEE Aviation Day at the ballpark not only to bring the local youth to a game but also to showcase the key element of SAFEE Aviation’s mission, which is “Building Runways for Today’s Future!”

SAFEE is a program that focuses on empowering youth to seek careers in the field of aviation.  This summer SAFEE partnered with five local educational institutions to conduct aviation camps and with various South Florida cities to conduct aviation academies.

In addition to sponsoring the children, a portion of the proceeds will be distributed to non-profit organizations that work with SAFEE and play a vital role in inspiring our youth, Civil air Patrol, Experience Aviation and the 99’s.

During the Marlins Game these youth got to experience a specially designed aviation expo in the Lexus Legend level of Marlin Stadium, as well as the opportunity to speak one on one with local aviation professionals and schools.  Game attendees were also able to walk through the stadium and see various other aviation related displays.

"JetStream is proud to partner with SAFEE Flight, an organization that provides real opportunity to the youth in our communities by introducing them to careers in aviation" said Jeanne Kucey, CEO.
